Clever Wear

The online Clever Wear Christmas store will be open until Friday, November 17th.  Orders will be back in time for Christmas.  Toddler, youth and adult sizes available in several items.

Red Ribbon Week is coming and set for October 23-27.  More details to come!

FBLA Hurricane Relief Fundraiser

FBLA has partnered up with the high school volleyball team and FCA to raise money for Convoy of Hope to provide relief to Hurricane Victims in Texas and Florida.  

This event will take place on Tuesday, September 26th at the high school volleyball game and the middle school football game (our high school band will also be performing their field show at the game).  A donation jar will be at the gate, at the concession stand, and in the stands (between the games).  FCA will have a bake sale at both locations this evening as well.  

We have a goal of raising over $1,000 for Convoy of Hope and hope that all of you will join us on Tuesday to help us reach that goal.  If you cannot make it to the game but would like to make a donation, please let me know and I will make arrangements to get it from you.  Checks can be made payable to Clever R-V.

Community Pep Rally

Clever's 1st Annual Community Pep Rally is Thursday, August 31 from 6-8pm at the HS Football Field.  Come meet the JH athletes, watch some football, and partake in multiple food trucks on site.  This event is FREE for all to attend!

Clever EleMiddle is extremely excited to host one of the premier leaders in math education, Mr. Greg Tang. Greg is called the "math missionary" for the dedication and passion he has shown in sharing his love of math with students, teachers and parents. Since 2001, he has done over 2,500 conferences, workshops and author visits, taught more than 350,000 children and adults, and accumulated more than 1,000,000 frequent flier miles on three different airlines! He has also visited more than 750 schools across the United States, Canada, and Asia. Principals, teachers, and parents rave about Mr. Tang’s ability to engage and excite even the most reluctant learners. Whether it’s 50 or 500 students, Greg makes math a true joy for children of all ages. Greg and his colleagues believe a successful family math night is the single best way to generate excitement about math and bring families together. When it comes to math facts, we need our parents’ help. Strategies can be learned in class, but practice begins at home. During math night activities, Greg makes sense of new and unfamiliar teaching methods by focusing on three important aspects of effective math instruction: visualization, reasoning and number sense. Parents come away with an instant appreciation of visual models, number bonds, and the work our teachers are doing. Greg’s parent workshops are some of the most important work he does. As previously mentioned, Mr. Tang is also an author. Greg’s Math Appeal was voted Best Non-Fiction eBook by teachers, joining Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Hunger Games and Huckleberry Finn as Gold Medal winners. Make A Wish Night

MAKE-A-WISH NIGHT 

Our Make-A-Wish Night will be Tuesday, April 25th during the high school baseball and softball games. All profits will go to the Make-A-Wish Missouri organization (we actually will be sponsoring a local child's wish!!). We'll have food, vendor booths, games, and a lantern ceremony. We may possibly have the wish kid there as well!

FBLA Crush Grams

From Feb 1st-Feb 10th, FBLA will be pre-selling Crush Grams via order form.  Students will fill out the form and the hearts and place them in an envelope with the money.   We have also asked that the hearts be cut out before they are placed in the envelope.  The envelope should be marked "Crush Grams" on the outside.    This will help us determine how much Crush Soda to order.  The Crush Grams will be delivered on Valentine's Day.

Tooth Truck

The Ronald McDonald Tooth Truck is planning to be at Clever Schools on March 8th-10th, 2017.  The scheduled dates for service is dependent on the number of returned eligible applications.  The requirements for being seen and treated on the Tooth Truck are:

-Qualify for the free and reduced lunch program at school

-Cannot be an established patient of a local dentist

-Cannot have a private dental insurance

-Must complete a Tooth Truck application form.

The Tooth Truck treats Medicaid-eligible and uninsured children at no charge for qualifying families.  Children seen last year are not eligible for a routine check-up but should apply if there is a new dental concern.  Please complete an application form and return to the school nurse as soon as possible.  An application is available upon request.

Little Cheer Car Line

As you may know, little cheer pickup last evening was very congested. In an effort to help reduce this congestion, we are asking all parents to use the bus lane tonight and tomorrow night. In order to do this, you will need to go south on Public Ave. then west on Inman St. and enter the bus lane from the south. Once in the bus lane, please form two lines that will wrap around the front of the K-4 building where students may be picked up. Thank you for your help in this matter.
